I trust that everyone had a great weekend celebrating St. Patrick's Day with green beer and cheer! lol.
I spent the afternoon walking around downtown with my cousin and window shopping and at night, party'd it up with the gang at Barcelona!
In the true spirit of St Patty's Day, I decided to wear green!

Celebrity Inspired: Eva Longoria
Okay in fairness, I put this together before seeing the picture of Eva Longoria. When running errands, I love to wear comfy clothing --especially if it means having to go to different places to get them done.
I changed it a bit by wearing a loose henley instead of a button down. I love this top cause it's super comfy! I love it so much that I bought it in black as well!

OOTD: Wedding reception
I recently spoke of the wedding reception I went to for my bf's highschool friend. It was a beautiful reception, simple and sweet--just all about celebration of love and commitment. I had fun at the wedding, but didn't get to take one pic of my whole outfit! lol. Well I thought, why not wear what i wore and show you all what I wore!
Pardon the crappyness of the pic lol the lighting in my room just seems weird these days.
What am i wearing?

Happy Friday in living color!
It was such a gorgeous sunny friday! For casual friday, I decided to wear my colored jeans in a beautiful vibrant blue hue. I gotta say, it beats the normal blue jean blues...

Max'd out:
So I finally found a Maxi dress (cheap alternative to the BCBG that I really want) I like.
So for those that wear maxi dresses, I have a question for you:
Do you hem your maxi dress to flats or heels?
Since i'm quite short, I don't have the luxury of finding maxi dresses that I can wear without having to get the length hemmed. I just can't decide if I want to hem it to heels for a day to night look, or keep it casual and hem to flats?
opinions, please!

OOTD: Holiday outfit for less...Idea #2
So Christmas is about two weeks away, the malls are super crowded and people are looking abit frazzled and stressed lol...I am taking the minimalist route this year--only buying presents for the few true friends and family. Any extra presents I end up giving will be made with my own hands--with love =)
So with the holidays approaching, the parties are getting on their way, I know I've gone to a few. I thought that I would show another outfit for the holidays. Here is a really inexpensive party dress idea (excuse the socks, it gets pretty cold in my room lol..oh and excuse the uber mess, I've been going through stuff for 'store, keep and donate' lol)
Sirens - $19.50 (CDN)
I love this dress. I thought it was such a steal! A simple, sparkly dress that is a show-stopper on its own. It cost me less than $30!!!! It is flattering but not too revealing, and though it is abit longer than what I'm used to for a party dress, even when it is taken to alteration, it will be worth the price! Just add a pretty pair of shoes and you are all set to go!

Trend #2: Military style
I've been seeing alot of influence from the military style for designers' fall collection-- namely Burberry Prorsum. Christopher Bailey is a fashion genius! I loved the military influence in his collection, from his fur lined shearlings to the boots! pure combat fashion heaven.
Sometimes it pays to closet-shop before going to the mall to spend $$$ and ending up in doubles...I've been there, done that and I hate having multiples of something unless I absolutely love it--in that case, I love doubles!
In my rummaging, I've found a military jacket I've long owned, about 3 years now. It has long since re-appeared back on the trends and I couldn't be more happy! There is nothing better than to hold on to an article of clothing and be vindicated that the years it spent in the closet collecting dust has paid off!
I bought this jacket on sale for I believe $20 at BB Blue. It resembles this admiral Jacket from Forever 21 that costs $35.80. (fyi, I would never pair a nice cropped military jacket like this with a tattered pair denim shorts...it just doesn't quite go in my opinion...jus sayin.)
I've also recently purchased a long mini obsession of mine since it came out. The military cargo pants in the skinny version has long caught my eye since it gives a more girlish take to the once baggy cargo pants.
I first saw it from Aritzia, which if you shop there you would know that it's going to cost an arm and a leg (like about 3 bills!) Not quite as easy for a workin' gal like me. Plus, I'm not one to just buy something expensive and not end up liking it. I decided to try other alternatives like going from stores like Sirens or Costa Blanca.
I ended up buying a pair from Urban Behavior and I must say, I'm quite happy with it. I'm not looking for the brand name as much as I'm trying to find the perfect fit for me and what I'm willing to spend for.
It cost me $39.50 plus HST (damn you HST...bane of my existence!).

a spice of inspiration for the bright white denim!~*
beats:: fly- vanessa camargo ft ja rule
outfit of the day:: Old Navy grey argyle cardigan & grey pants, white racerback and runners...
fave fashion accessory of the day/moment:: my coffee =) im wired.
Okay, so as far as my fashion idols go, here is one great outfit that's inspired me for spring.
Victoria Beckham has always been a source of inspiration for me for fashion. Her style is clean and classic but uber trendy, I love that british fashionista that just seems to shine out of her at every event she's pictured in.
As far as those that stand out in my mind as being a fashion icon, she is one of them for me. And it's not the runways and the events that catch my eye either. When a celebrity is at a red-carpet event, whether for awards or openings and premieres, they have a team of stylists to make sure they are red-carpet, picture-perfect and smile ready for the paparazzi.
That's not style...at least, that's not their style.
I find that those celebrities that are out and about, living their regular lives and still maintain that fashion-worthy snap from the paparazzi, sometimes without even knowing it, are the ones that deserve the monicre, fashionista.
When someone is able to pull an outfit together for a coffee run or errands around the city that makes you say 'I want that' then you know they've got fashion chops. Everyone can look their best for a specific event, it's the everydayness that I'm more interested in....It comes down to whether they can be their own stylists in their everyday lives, much like all of us are!
So anyways, I got this from the internet, so the pic is not originally from me...I forgot the source but if you peruse the internet and google an image of her, you'll find it...
I absolutely L-O-V-E this outfit. It embodies the cool westcoast feel of a spring night out. It's not really that I'm obsessed with her outfit, but the idea of the crisp look of white skinny jeans and a contrasting top that makes the whole outfit pop. It's so chic and casual, yet sexy in it's own way. The aviators is icing to the cake on this uber chic day-to-nite outfit.
two words...LOVEs It.
I know, I just can't say it enough...
I love that this outfit can be for a dinner night out or just a daytime lunch with friends. Versatility is the key to my wardrobe these days, or at least it's my striving point in what clothes I buy. I am not a busy person by nature, but there are days that seem to just go on forever, and from one event to the next, I need my outfit to fit into every place and occasion I'm going to in a flash. As far as the white jeans are considered this season, they are a great trend I welcome, considering I also love white to begin with!
When it comes to casual chic, I have to admit, I don't always hit the mark. lol.
Anyways, so I recently bought my own pair of white jeans (yet to be altered lol) and while I'm not expecting to look exactly like Lady V (one can only dream! lol) I do take this as my main inspiration for how to dress up the white jeans for the spring and summer season! Of course I bought mine for a steal! lol. At the moment, I opted out of investing in a more expensive pair of jeans, since it's one of those that could get stained easily or destroyed in the wearing process over time. I don't want to have to feel bad later on lol. I got my pair of white jeans from Sirens for $29.50(CDN). Though I do love the distressed & destroyed look on the jeans, since there's a possibility that I may end up wearing these said jeans to work, I chose the more conservative route...The one without the destroyed effect! lol. Maybe down the road I'll pick up a pair of the destroyed ones, who knows.
