Weekend Round-up: Brooklyn and Memphis Blues

I love weekends, especially sunny ones.  I was able to leave early once again after what seemed like a week in hell. lol.  It was one of those days when everything that could go wrong, did.

I had fun although the consequences of friday came back to haunt me on saturday lol.  All in all I still had a fairly good weekend, which is all that I ask and all that I require to rejuvenate me for the next week.

Whenever the sunshine shows up and the end of the week rolls up, it's sure everyone's making a run for the door before the end of the work day--I'm no exception.  I love Vancouver all year round (even in the freezing temps!) but nothing shows Vancouver's beauty and wonder like a nice sunny day (be it winter, summer spring or fall) especially at the end of the week!

Last weekend was fun yet chill.  It started with date night, walking around robson on a chilly night and concluded with KFC lol.  Date night in is sometimes just as fun as heading out!  I still got myself all did even if we were just taking a stroll.  It doesn't hurt to get all dolled up for one night to make an effort!

I officially celebrated my getting a new job last friday --apres dinner at the Keg and drinks at Aubar!

Friday is our usual date night -- catching up and unwinding all while spending quality time with each other...Usually it's also the only time that I require my bf to dress up in adult clothing! lol.  Tonight however, we disregarded the usual dresscode in place of more casual style to fit our cheap date night --foodcarting!

I had a rough week and as such, wanted to get a little loose on a friday night in downtown--my fave part of the city!  Friday night lights, a late dinner at the rooftop patio of The Keg yaletown which boasted breath-taking views then off to our fave party spot, Barcelona Ultralounge!

One of my fave places to go to during date night with my bf is to Oysi Oysi Japanese Restaurant.  Their food is delish!

Last week I was feeling pretty tired most of the work week still recovering from a cold and a stubborn cough...Finally giving in to my lethargic feeling, I recently put my hair up out of necessity and lack of time to get ready in the morning.  I would love to say that I was trying out a new hairstyle, but it was really because I woke up fairly late and didn't have the time to wash my hair.  Bad excuse, but I guess it did give me time to fix my hair differently.

Safe to say that even though it happened out of a lack of time, it ended up being ok afterall.  I liked it and when able to, may try it again! Sometimes things work out for the best!

My fave eyeshadow I have to say from my palette is 'Contrast'.  I sooo love that it's shimmery, not quite black but provides enough darkness to give me the smokey eye effect without the raccoon look...because no one wants a raccoon look!  There is a fine line between a nice smoked out look and just doing raccoon eyes--the 'high fashion' look where they smoke out the entire eye in black! scurry..

I always have fun on a friday night with my hun--whether it's dinner and staying in to watch a movie, or out at the club (which we don't do often! lol).  Quality time is fun! loves.
