Baptism: Cream suit and lace

Hola!

Mondays are always a drag, though the fact that it's sunny today (and possibly through the week!) is a silver lining in my book.

Last saturday, as I have mentioned in one of the entries below, I went to a baptism at St. Andrews Church.  Can i just say that people should think about making baptisms slightly later than say, 10am?? omg, talk about people that look like they just dragged themselves out of bed! lol.  I felt slightly overdressed sitting near a man that was just wearing a hoodie and jeans. Whatever happened to the days when people actually dressed in their sunday's best for church and especially for baptisms??

To check out which outfit I ended up wearing read on!

Baptism: Fresh whites

This weekend --or this saturday rather, I will be attending a baptism for my cousin's son whom I have yet to see lol.  It seems like a last minute quickie baptism before the family all leaves for a wedding in the phils...

Workwear Inspiration: Holts Muse black and white

Errmehgerd..This is so my puuurr-fect work outfit! lol.  I am so inlove with the black and white with a pop of red.  Its's so tastefully done! I am loving everything from the Giorgio Armani Bag in red (sooo cute!) to the peplum three-quarter length blazer.  The blazer is the basic black but the style is anything but basic! I was hesitating to purchase a striped skirt as I thought it would be somewhat difficult to find pairings for it, but this has convinced me! lol.

Where do you get your outfit inspirations?

Casual Shopping Day: Nautical Blue stripe and jeans

Beinga 9-5 working gal, I rarely ever get to head out on weekdays anymore.  Gone are the days of mis-spent youth meeting up with friends after work as my favorite thing to do nowadays is couch-potatoing at times with the bf and catching up on PVR'd shows from nights prior.  Getting older, it slows you down abit lol.

Saturdays are my usual days of heading out --shopping and galavanting all around downtown either by myself or with my cousin.

Crazy for gingham

Hola!

Happy sunny monday, all!

There is nothing more fitting in life than trying to get back up after a setback. I wanted to quickly say that my thoughts and prayers have been with the people of the Boston Marathon and those in the areas in Massachusetts that were affected by recent events.  The best way to show those that have tried to hurt us is to get back up and keep on living....It's easier said than done, but with the help and support of neighboring states, and country, I know that Boston will be able to rebuild and be stronger from this...as a person with tremendous love for one's city, I see the love that the people of Boston have for their city that they will easily rise from this with a stronger will and resolve.

I hope that everyone is enjoying the sunshine at some point in the city....The cherry blossom trees are in full bloom in some parts of Vancouver!  I've been in the full spirit of spring--wearing my pastels and cropped boyfriend jeans...all that's missing are sandals and maybe shorts are not far behind? i hope so!

Lately I've been obssessing over gingham.  The print is so spring/summer! I am loving the different shades of pastel that it comes in.  I recently purchased two colors from Abercrombie and couldn't be more happy!  I bought the Felicity shirt -- a button down that is slightly more fitted.  It was regularly $64 but on sale for $29.90 and so i picked up both the yellow and pink.

Can i just say that I love love love this shirt!

I wore it for casual fridays at work with a high-waisted pair of jeans and ankle boots (it rained in the morning so it seemed appropritate to wear boots lol) It's pastel color is just right for springtime, and it even kinda looks --dare I say 'a lil' bit country'? lol.

I was so loving the outfit that I transitioned it for a casual night out with the bf.  I changed from boots to heels thinking that it was a dry enough afternoon (and the sun briefly came out!) to transition into the night.  Alas, my prediction was wrong as it rained heavily into the night (what do I know right?) but I still loved my outfit!

One can only dream...

Okay, so I told my bf one night that I wanted a Chanel Flap bag.  Yes, I wanted one.  I wanted to own a 2.55 Lambskin Black Chanel Flap bag badly.  I thought I was as crazy as the way he looked at me in my pursuit to owning one.  Vintage, pre-owned or new --I didn't care.  I wanted the end result of me having one of those precious babies in my hands and ownership.

I've heard it all before, people that have told me 'there are ways of having the bag without the eye-gauging prices' they say, referring to the ever-more popular timesharing that you can pay for the time you have it and then send it back.  Would I really want to send the Chanel Bag back once it was in my possession? that would take considerable will-power let me tell you!

So I set out to find ways of owning one without the traditional 'all in' bankrupt or selling my soul (much less, my first born).

I really thought that my sanity had gotten the better of me when i tried rationalizing lol.
