My fave new lipgloss!

It's such a beautiful New Year's Eve day! It's a sign of good things to come I think! I am happy.

I recently bought a new lipgloss that I love--Cremesheen Glass in Fashion Whim (how appropriate for my blog!) from MAC.  I've been trying to find the perfect nude pout and this is one step closer! I tried to buy the 'Natural Look' Sephora Brand, and it was all out of stock! bleh.

I love the sheen (hence the name I guess!) and the colour as well.  I've been using it lately, even for Christmas Eve dinner.

I am still on the lookout for the perfect nude lipgloss though!

More random me shots!

Somewhere far east, like oh say Asia and Australia--the new year has started.  As we patiently await for the ringing in of the new year in the west, I think back to all of what's happened throughout the year.

My insomnia has kicked in once again, unfortunately.

I love that no matter how much my family has driven me crazy throughout the year, all the ups and downs even the crazy, unpleasant moments--the new year will be rung in with loved ones.

Anyways, with that pleasantry aside, I was just foolin' around with my camera today, trying to figure out a hairstyle to do for tomorrow's dinner.  I always seem to end up with the same curled hair, and I'm thinking maybe it's time to change it up abit.  Change is good!

Just a whole lot of randomness at home...late night..lol.

Off to bed! =)

New Years Eve 'eve' mini Happy Hour

Things always work out for the best when you look at the silver lining in an unfortunate situation...

Having the previous plan we had be derailed tonight, we decided to go to downtown for a lil' nightcap instead at the Keg!
I love The Keg--delish food, good ambiance, great service!

It was really more of a nightcap--A cup of coffee, some conversation and the ultimate of desserts, Billy Miner Pie.  LUVS it.
Afterwards, we decided to stroll back to the car slowly, trying to enjoy the less populated Robson street after-hours all while trying to keep warm and cute...Hard task!  It looked lovely with all the bright lights strung around for the christmas time which, we figured, would come down sometime next week anyways--why not take advantage!?

Robson street is one of my fave places for shopping, happy hour and just plain strolling.  It's an outside mall, park and beach combined--all within walking distance..Why ask for more, I say.

T'was a great night, uneventful and unexpected but fun nonetheless.  We always try to make the best out of an unexpected situation!

A great way to spend the second to last day of 2010!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder....

I was thinking of my own beauty regimen as I was taking off my make-up as I do nightly.  It's always a task to take off the eye make-up, take off the rest of my facial make-up and then wash and refresh before going to bed that sometimes it tires me!  Oh my do I wear that much makeup that it takes almost half an hour to get ready before going to bed!?

I should say that normally I am opposed to anyone, and I mean ANYONE seeing me at any time without make-up.  Even when I am just going to run errands, my natural look involves foundation and eye-liner at the very least! I know, I should be more proud of my inner beauty and be more self-loving, in all honesty I am.  Anyways, this is my Au Naturel look!

I am not stuck on perfection and the b/s that comes with always looking perfect.  I do believe in always feeling good when you know you look your best.

NYC trip October 2009!

I was going through more of my pics and realized that I never posted ANY pics of my trip to New York City in October 2009!

What was I thinking!? lol The trip left me in awe and utter amazement that a city can be so resilient and lively after a big devastating and life-changing event.  It was truly an honor to be able to visit the city that never sleeps--The big Apple, New York, NY!

I fell inlove with New York City during my short trip there in 2009 and hope to return again one day.  I urge anyone that loves to travel to take a trip there and experience it the only way to do it--first hand.

Happy Hour moments with my fave doll!

I am at home on a wednesday night, about to make my fave dessert, 'Leche Flan' for the annual NYE dinner we have at our house.  It's a delicious filipino custard-like dessert that I sooo love! It's very sweet so you better have a sweet tooth when you try it!

Anyways, before I made the dessert, i thought while waiting for a free space in the kitchen (my dad is also in the kitchen doing some prep work for the dinner!) I would post some of my fave happy hour pics!

I love the change in length in my hair lol...

I absolutely love my happy hour moments with my fave doll! We have such a good time just chattin' it up while having our fave bottle of wine! It unwinds us and releases any tensions or stresses we may have accumulated during the work week!

Christmas after-math: resolutions anyone!?

Christmas wasn't as great this year, but it was still good because everyone was safe and happy.  I didn't get a ton of presents, but I did get the ones I wanted! I guess it's all that mattered lol.  I am excited for what the new year brings for me!

As far as making up resolutions, the only fashion-related one I have resolved for next year: to be more wise about my fashion purchases.

I, too often, just spend money on stuff I may not even wear but think I would.  It's very easy to get carried away with the plastic--spend because I can and then barely wear or not even wear it at all.  I have cleaned my closet part way and intend on continuing to sift through all my clothes and narrow down my wardrobe to a more manageable size.

I know that even my parents sometimes cringe at the sight of my clothes over-taking the rest of the closets because my own closet isn't big enough for them.

Now for my other resolutions...

random photo ops at home!

I was just going through old pics at home (procrastinating on some tasks that I needed to do lol) and I came across some old pics of myself...I thought I'd post these, I curled my hair and braided the front, my fave hairstyle to do awhile back..

and no, I wasn't giving my LV bag an air-kiss! haha..

Girls' Night out!

I haven't had time to post these pics up....Usually our happy hour girls' night outs are thursdays, but this time we had it on a friday.  Perfect night since it didn't rain, although it was a little chilly outside.
The night started out at The Keg Thurlow for dinner...
After dinner we ventured over to our fave spot, George for some drinks...
I just love the ambiance of the lounge...
An uneventful but fun girls' night out...It's always fun to catch up and have some girls time =)

I wore my Black Marciano Bandage dress, Black&white tweed cropped blazer and Zara Cape.

Annual Christmas Eve Family dinner!

T'was the night before christmas and the night of our christmas dinner.  Just before the dinner I thought I'd curl my hair and change up my 'do this year..
After a quick outfit change (last minute), I settled into a comfy burgundy sweater dress and my fave cream blazer from Zara...I finished it with gold jewelry to make the red pop!
The festivities went on their way and after dinner, we had asti to wind down the night while we watched 'Miracle on 34th street'.  I loved that movie, so sweet and full of faith in the spirit of christmas.
We thought we'd get a photo-op after dinner as well...
Another year, another christmas eve dinner done and over with! lol..As usual, family dinners are never perfect, a few whiny people who shall remain nameless, others that can't accept a no--otherwise it was nothing short of a weird but normal family dinner...

Merry Christmas!

Boxing Day madness!

My christmas eve dinner was not the greatest, but like all other family dinners, nothing is ever perfect.  There was fun and food to be had and we had our christmas greets as usual.  I was glad that my exchange gift was not a disappointment at all-considering I chose it lol.

Thanks "secret santa" lol...
I got the two out of three last empty spaces I needed to fill my whole palette =)  Mac pro palette refills in 'smut' and 'romp'.  I need one more!!

Anyways, today we braved the crowds and the fighting for parking spaces (think car-stalking) to shop our hearts out for the annual boxing day sales! =) This day is one of the only few times in the year that I will wake up early to shop!

Me in the morning, before changing =)

We shopped from 10:30am--scoring parking the instant we arrived--and going home at closing time.
While lining up at Zara, we thought we'd get some photo-op to make the time go by...We didn't really wait long so it wasn't so bad.  Lots of people at Zara--lots of markdowns but no crazy deals.

At bebe Metro...
Then after only one purchase, we thought we'd try our luck in downtown.  We figured that we'd have better luck on robson...

another photo-op!

and lunch at our annual lunch place for boxing day, A&W

At BCBG...

I love their skirts, and although normally fairly expensive, the boxing day sale of 50% made it all worth the trip!  I have wanted this skirt for a year now, and it was worth waiting for.

I also bought another dress at BEBE for a steal!
Another dress at French connection for a steal as well

Lastly--my beloved new coat (replacing the old cream coat--may you rest in peace) back at Zara metro:
