a spice of inspiration for the bright white denim!~*

beats:: fly- vanessa camargo ft ja rule
outfit of the day:: Old Navy grey argyle cardigan & grey pants, white racerback and runners...
fave fashion accessory of the day/moment:: my coffee =) im wired.

Okay, so as far as my fashion idols go, here is one great outfit that's inspired me for spring.

Victoria Beckham has always been a source of inspiration for me for fashion.  Her style is clean and classic but uber trendy, I love that british fashionista that just seems to shine out of her at every event she's pictured in.

As far as those that stand out in my mind as being a fashion icon, she is one of them for me.  And it's not the runways and the events that catch my eye either.  When a celebrity is at a red-carpet event, whether for awards or openings and premieres, they have a team of stylists to make sure they are red-carpet, picture-perfect and smile ready for the paparazzi.

That's not style...at least, that's not their style.

I find that those celebrities that are out and about, living their regular lives and still maintain that fashion-worthy snap from the paparazzi, sometimes without even knowing it, are the ones that deserve the monicre, fashionista

When someone is able to pull an outfit together for a coffee run or errands around the city that makes you say 'I want that' then you know they've got fashion chops.  Everyone can look their best for a specific event, it's the everydayness that I'm more interested in....It comes down to whether they can be their own stylists in their everyday lives, much like all of us are!

So anyways, I got this from the internet, so the pic is not originally from me...I forgot the source but if you peruse the internet and google an image of her, you'll find it...

I absolutely L-O-V-E this outfit.  It embodies the cool westcoast feel of a spring night out. It's not really that I'm obsessed with her outfit, but the idea of the crisp look of white skinny jeans and a contrasting top that makes the whole outfit pop.  It's so chic and casual, yet sexy in it's own way.  The aviators is icing to the cake on this uber chic day-to-nite outfit.

two words...LOVEs It.
I know, I just can't say it enough...

I love that this outfit can be for a dinner night out or just a daytime lunch with friends.  Versatility is the key to my wardrobe these days, or at least it's my striving point in what clothes I buy.  I am not a busy person by nature, but there are days that seem to just go on forever, and from one event to the next, I need my outfit to fit into every place and occasion I'm going to in a flash.  As far as the white jeans are considered this season, they are a great trend I welcome, considering I also love white to begin with!

When it comes to casual chic, I have to admit, I don't always hit the mark. lol.

Anyways, so I recently bought my own pair of white jeans (yet to be altered lol) and while I'm not expecting to look exactly like Lady V (one can only dream! lol) I do take this as my main inspiration for how to dress up the white jeans for the spring and summer season!  Of course I bought mine for a steal! lol.  At the moment, I opted out of investing in a more expensive pair of jeans, since it's one of those that could get stained easily or destroyed in the wearing process over time.  I don't want to have to feel bad later on lol.  I got my pair of white jeans from Sirens for $29.50(CDN).  Though I do love the distressed & destroyed look on the jeans, since there's a possibility that I may end up wearing these said jeans to work, I chose the more conservative route...The one without the destroyed effect! lol.  Maybe down the road I'll pick up a pair of the destroyed ones, who knows.

fave fashion accessory of the day/moment:: my bed!!! lol.

Happy Monday darlings!!~*

It's gloomy, but one must always try to bottle up some sunshine to keep one company during days such as these!

So lately I've been on a quest to find the perfect multi-purpose bag.  Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore my LV bag because of it's multi-purposeness in my life! I just thought that because it's such a fave bag of mine, that I'd lessen the wear and tear of time, and use it abit less for the more worthy occasions =) at least until I get another LV...or Chanel!

I have yet to find the perfect bag that can take me from travelling on vacays, to just running errands around town.  Yes, i am a picky girl when it comes to bags...I love the multi-faceted use of a well-made, aesthetically pleasing bag.  So you can imagine how picky I will be about this everyday bag!

So on to my latest purchase! lol.

The Trokey Bag from Aldo.  It was $29.98 (CDN) on sale too! great deal.

Okay, so normally I don't just buy bags on a whim...Actually to be fair, I didn't buy this on a whim either.  You can ask my cousin, but we almost ran out of minutes for the parking meter cause I couldn't decide!!! lol.

I find that it works for my needs at the moment.  I say that because my mood about bags change as much as I change outfits in a day.  I have different needs according to the day, and for the last day, it's suited my needs.  I find that it feels abit too big for leisurely shopping, but works perfectly as a work bag, overnight bag and even for running errands where you'll need your hands free for some of the time!

I haven't quite taken it to the skies yet, but hopefully pretty soon it will get its chance....I do like to travel in style, and it's beautiful brown (synthetic, yes i know ladies, synthetic) leather skin is a classy, timeless bag that doesn't go out with the seasons.

Recently, though my eye has always gravitated to the pricier, well crafted bags (i find they are sort of an investment) I have been buying the less expensive, more practical versions, in order to get more quantity than quality.  It's only recently that I've interchanged bags for every outing i've had.

I guess sometimes quantity with a bit of quality isn't so bad ; )

last hurrah for winter...err gear, i mean.

beats:: taio cruz ft. ludacris- break you heart
outfit of the day:: Forever 21 Grey sweater w/ tie, Urban Planet black v-neck shirt, Garage Grey long leggings & thigh high boots.
fave fashion accessory of the day/moment:: sunglasses..cauze its sunny! =)

Hello sunshine, you've come back to me...lol.

Okay so the days are getting noticeably longer, the afternoons abit warmer and sunnier.  It's definitely full speed ahead into spring!  Before I completely say goodbye to ol' man winter though, I couldn't resist buying one more sweater that I had sooo wanted to get awhile back.

I had wanted a specific kind of fair isle sweater...Actually, several years ago, when it first came out at Aritzia in a form of a pullover, it mesmuerized me.  Okay, further back from that, seeing a more expensive one at Polo Ralph Lauren (i was uber obsessed with POLO brand awhile back! lol) hooked me to the style.  It's so Cape Cod-ish.  The style itself looks abit laid back and yet abit preppy and polished.  LUVS it.

So back to the present day....

I lost out on a couple of really great ones; There was one really beautiful cardigan from Abercrombie which retailed for i think almost $200.  That was abit too pricey for me.  Then there was one from Victoria's Secret...which I could never find in the retail stores when I did happen upon going cross border.  I never found it on their websites either  *sad face*.  The one cardigan which was available at every store no further than a 20 minute drive from my house, everyone had.  Of course, that alone made me not want to pick up the cardigan.  I love that everyone I wear, I see on everyone else on the streets, at the exact same time! *sarcasm*.

So I opted for something less obvious, but mainstream nonetheless.  It's from Forever 21's Heritage line, the Patterned Cardigan w/ the tie belt.  It retailed for about $39.90 at regular price, but I got it on sale for about $16.00!! *YAY!* lol, any good bargain is a 'yay moment' for me! lol.

It is such a cute simple sweater...It has no buttons, just a belt to tie around.  I guess it's sort of a wrap around then.  I think it's quite cute and reminds me of the winter sweaters.  So warm and cozy.  AND, it's not just an any acrylic sweater, it's actually a wool blend! that's why its sorta itchy, but still worth it! i swear!

So that is my show and tell for the day...I think.

There are some great deals from the winter season's fashion so snap them up before they're gone! One can always use a sweater or two during the cold season!
I hoe that

I am all about spring and all of it's beauty and wonder these days...Earth tones and neutrals fill my fashionable mind as I peruse through the racks, shop after shop.

One article of clothing that is on my mind as of late is a nice trench coat for the warmer season.  It seems easy to find a trench coat, i mean it's cream or khaki and it's long with a belt right? WRONG-O!!  It's all about choices these days...even for something as simple as a trench coat!

I will be going through the sites, racks and the streets to find the perfect coat =)

stay tuned!! =)

I thought I'd share my wonderful buys:

Great finds always make me happy...

Mustard ain't just for hotdogs this summer!~*

beats:: on to the next one- jay z
outfit of the day:: Forever 21 Black/White long cardigan, Garage Black Leggings & thigh high boots
fave fashion accessory of the day/moment:: thigh high boots =)

Mustard on your hotdog!? What about to wear??? lol.

The beginning of spring 2010 has shown a crazy love affair with the burnt yellow or mustard hue in everything from the clothes we wear to the accessories we choose.  I for one have been on a personal quest since the beginning of february (going as far as Vegas! lol) to find myself the perfect mustard hue to add to my growing bag collection.  I have already extended my basic racerback colours from the usual black and white solids to include a mustard hue to accent my look for spring!  All I need now is the perfect bag and pair of shoes in the same hue, and I am soooo set! lol.

While I was in search of my own mustard hue'd fashion, I have decided to post some suggestions that I have found mostly at Forever 21 (and one from Aldo) on the cutest Mustard coloured clothes and accessories to help you with your quest to look your best this season!  Pls. feel free to suggest any of your own as well!

My personal 'Mustard' picks:

I know, I know...I already posted this early early early this morning!! lol.  I just sooo love the style and the hue of this spring/summer yellow.  It's a pure luv connection when you see the shade and the peep toe adds that extra summer breezy style to it.

I know you're thinking, another plaid shirt!? lol.  Well I find that this cute lil' casual plaid shirt kinda kills two birds with one stone in terms of if you're really into the trends of mustard hues and also the plaid shirt thing.  It will go great to wear with jeans and a nice pair of rafia or chrochet tan flats =)

Okay this one is my personal fave.  I LOVE the hue like you have noooo idea.  I find this bag so adorably cute for spring that I just had to include it in this blog! lol.  It even has the two straps that are so in right now!  the shorter hobo shoulder strap and the cross body longer strap as well!(i think lol).  I am so into bigger hobo bags right now, it fits so much more than just a medium sized shoulder bag, at least for gallavanting about town and running errands!

I thought I'd show another top that looked cute and is also crossing with another trend at the moment.  This woven top is another summer-y top that I thought was pretty cute and could be a day-to-night kind of top!  You can pair it with shorts, or a nice pair of jeans (preferrably an indigo wash for me! lol) and either with flats, sandals or heels! I love the detailing on the neckline, it draws more attention to the upper features!

If you were looking for more of a night-time kind of top, this one is a sure winner! The ruffles on the top make it so feminine and not to mention the hue itself.  I love how it just gives abit of a peek-a-boo to your decouletage but doesn't open up to show everything.  It's the softness of the look that makes it sort of romantic looking while still giving you that extra pop of colour!

Last is this sweater that I thought would also add contrast and romance to your evening look.  The ruffles softens the sweater and makes it more feminine while still adding colour to your wardrobe!

These gave me an idea of what kinds of pieces I'd like in my wardrobe for the season to give that extra umph and wattage.  Just because it's summer, no reason to look hot and sizzling while enduring the heat!

These can all be found on the forever 21 website & aldo website on the sidebar of my blog.

shoe love - spring/summer 2010 edition (v.1)~*

beats:: nothing, I'm watching bones late night =)
outfit of the day:: Old navy microfleece pjs!
fave fashion accessory of the day/moment:: my pjs? lol.

I couldn't sleep at the moment, and while that's bad for my early morning wake-up call for work, it's good for a blog entry! =)

I was trying to find a pair of shoes I recently saw in a magazine that should have been available at Aldo, but for some reason it just simply wasn't.  Instead, I found these shoes that would be perfect for spring!  Here are my top 5 pics for the season.  It's so spring-ish that I couldn't help but share =)

My Top 5 Picks:

Breger (Aldo) ~ I am so into the earthy neutral tones and materials these days.  Along with my previous blog about weaves, corks are another choice for spring.  I fnd that a stiletto is not always appropriate for the season.  There are times when casual chic calls for something with less drama and more chill style.  This is just perfecto!

Eggenberg ~ I have had my eye on this lil' baby for days.  I not only love the shade of yellow (puuurrr-fect for spring!) but the style of the shoe itself.  It's so cute!  I admit, i did say that not every occasion is appropriate to wear a stiletto, but when you find the odd occasion when it does call for the beauty of the sexy, pointy heel then this is your shoe! LUV..
Kitzrow ~ Okay, is anyone else loving this shoe as much as I am right about now!? Gooood Laawdy! What an intricate design on the ankle wrap that leads to the sexy stiletto faux wood heel! luv luv! The look is simply refreshing and the colour is called 'Ice'.  Oh my, someone hold me back from purchasing this lovely piece of shoe specimen!! lol.  I can just picture this with a nice pair of dressy shorts and maybe a loose pink pastel top.  It's just tooo hot to resist! A perfect summer evening pairing with a nice dinner out with the hunnie!

Yerke ~ Okay, this funky lil' number of a shoe is an eye-catching piece of shoe hardware beauty! I just love the intricate grommet and beading that layers the front of the platform heel.  It's like jewelry for your feet!  I say, who needs an anklet for summer when you've got this baby on your feet!  Again, another intricately designed shoe, not just with hardware detailing but also the stitch trimming around the edge of the shoe.  One cannot go wrong with this shoe for night time fun and flirting!!

Destime ~ Okay, it's a nice change from all the neutral shoes that I've shown so far.  This is what I'd consider a lolita-esque/siren type of shoe.  This shoe calls for flirting and fun out on the town! If you want to look sexy, combining the sexiness of a stiletto heel with the extra height of the platform front.  Dare I say, can anyone resist you in these heels??  Pure hot, sex in the city type of fun in the city =)

Jeans + Leggings = Jeggings!? lol.

fave fashion accessory of the day/moment::

A hush falls over the office...I am suddenly left with a few minutes to chill...What do I decide to do!? BLOG! lol.

Okeez, so I thought I should share a quickie fave of mine since it's such a *LUV* moment =)

I don't normally buy alot of jeans.  In fact, if you peeked in my closet, you'll find more dresses, skirts and dress pants than jeans.  I can honestly say I buy jeans once in a blue moon as I find the process of trying to find the right fit so damn hard!

I'm not one of those girls that you'll see pick up a $300 brand name pair of jeans either.  I find that a cheaper more comfy pair is more than good enough for me =)  It's a whole process however, when I do go and try to buy a pair of jeans so you can imagine how big a deal it is when I do decide to buy one!

I recently went for a weekend in Seattle Washington (deciding to opt out of a family gathering..HA!) for some R&R and shopping with babe.  To my surprise, though the Canadian loon was almost on par with the Greenback, I still didn't buy as much as I expected...There is one purchase that I did end up luv luv luvin to pieces...

My American Eagle Skinny Jean Leggings in Indigo wash.  It was $39.50(USD) and it was worth EVERY penny! luvs it to death!

I absolutely love Indigo wash.  It's so flattering no matter what style of jeans you wear, wether it be skinny or wide leg or even bootcut.  In the indigo wash, it can transition from day to night without looking too casual or too formal =)

I'd urge you to check it out not only because I believe it's at such an awesome price, but also because it's sooooo damn comfortable! <3s it much!!~*

The Jean Leggings or 'Jeggings' are starting to be a new fad for the season, with every retail store having it's own version and some extra like grommets or destructed fronts even acid spot washes to try and get the tweens/teens to buy.  I like the jeans I bought, since it looks like jeans but still has that comfort factor you find in leggings.  When I'm in skinny jeans, I try to find the most comfortable since it can get uncomfy real fast if you're not a size negative zero!

I recently checked out the American Eagle website and they've got alot of other new styles out in stores at the moment from cropped to different fits that I'll consider my next jeans shopping run!

What's your favourite type of jean fit?

Good Morning lovelies!!~*

It's a beautiful tuesday morning despite repeated reports of rain...boo on you weatherman! lol.

I once read this article that in order to maintain a healthy balance between your bank account and your closet, you must eventually choose your fashion style as you get older.

valid point i guess.

It's like finding a career, once you get older, you must choose a path in which you want to continue on.  It makes sense, right!?

I think that partially that's true.  When you're young you go through stages, much like I, in order to find your true style.  Half the fun of discovering the person you are is through trials and errors, much like your fashion style.  Afterall, didn't someone say 'You are what you wear'..lol.  Obviously someone is lacking some self-esteem there...

Like i previously mentioned, I tried different styles in my younger days, from the cowboy boots to the preppy look and even the 90s grunge look that just made me look somewhat homeless lol.  I know, what was i thinking!?  I explored the many fashion fads and classic looks of my youth, which is essentially when you should experiment anyways!  So now I've started to settle into my look, abit more polished and feminine.  The only problem with me is that I still bounce around from time to time, and that can be costly!  There is more than one way to change your fashion, not only in the pieces you wear but also in how you accessorize...It's amazing how accessories like jewelry, handbags or even shoes can change a whole outfit like it's brand new again!

I am still in the process of figuring out what works for me, as I haven't quite given up on the process! lol.  Maybe once I hit 30, I will have a look that's comfortable for me.  My only advice when finding your look or even shopping is to try and find more classic pieces that will last for more than one season or trend.  It will end up saving you lots of $$$!!

as always, Happy Shopping!~*

Happy Easter lovely dollies!~*

Spring has been upon us for about two weeks now! Once the rain dissepates, the sun is sure to bring out the beauties with the fashion trends for spring and summer 2010!  I have yet to see a change into warmer weather but I'm sure it'll come soon! <3

One trend that I have definitely fallen head over heels for is the woven accessories.  It goes oh-so-well with the crisp white babydoll lace and cotton dresses that are sure to pop up everywhere during summer!

* luvs it! * ~*

Okay so here is a woven belt that just came out now on the Marciano website:
Ellisiana Braided Belt $88.00 (cdn)

This darling belt is a perfect spring/summer accessory to any neutral/crisp white outfit that you rock this upcoming season!  It gives off that earthy contrast to the light colours of spring! I luv luv luv the braided effect of the belt itself, sort of like one of those wicker bags that do look so adorable during the summer months!

For the thrifty shopper, fear not!  Not everything will cost an arm and a leg this spring/summer!  If you're one to accessorize on a budget, here are 3 options that I have found courtesy of Forever 21 that are at fabulous prices that won't break the bank!

The first is the double buckle belt $7.80(CDN) - It has sort of a crochet style band that goes around the waist with a deeper coloured buckle. The crochet is reminiscent of the crochet style bags and shoes of spring!
The second, which I recently bought but in the brown (which for some reason isn't available online anymore) Jennie Woven belt $10.80(CDN).  This is a super cute belt (which I have yet to wear) that I think would pair perfectly with my spring wardrobe an transition into summer.  It is so rustic, not polish or clean, it's earthy toned and also has the braided band around the belt that is similar to the woven accessories for this season.

The next one is more if you want a pop of colour.  Since most of the colours I have shown are in earthy browns and blacks and cream colours, I thought I'd show one with a pop of a bright tone to set a beautiful contrast that can transition wonderfully from daytime dress to nightime wear!  I love the chic casualness of the braided belt mixed in with the two toned laces.

The Woven Laces belt $9.80(CDN) - interwoven two colours, comes in red and cream or blue and cream.  Luv luv! It gives off the unusual pop of colour that sets it apart from the usual pastels and neutrals.

These belts that I have chosen (courtesy of Forever 21 Canada website) are eye pleasers that don't break the budget!  In the fashion world, the trends are ever-changing.  It doesn't hurt to invest once in awhile in some timeless classic pieces, but there's nothing wrong with a trendy yet inexpensive item to accessorize the season's look!

Happy shopping!~*

A big DASH of insipiration in my life of fashion!~*

fave fashion accessory of the day/moment:: my old navy fleece zip up =) cooooozy!

Cloud and gloom...ugh.

Gotta look at the brighter side of things....it's only thursday BUT, it's a long weekend! *YAY!*  It's the first in a long 3 months of winter with no long weekend breaks.  I am just thankful we finally get a stat day =)

Moving on from the weather report...lol.

In recent months I've been going through celebrities that I admire for their great fashion sense for some fashion inspiration.  No one is in the public eye more than a celebrity, no matter for what reason, and therefore no one works harder to look good everyday, all day!  I find that instead of always looking at fashion mags like Vogue and Harper's, if I want to find fashion that I can relate to and is more the everyday look to inspire me, where better than pics of celebs doing the everyday stuff, like errands and going to and fro sets.  Even mags like People or US Weekly can show celebs in the most unflattering light, but in some instances, even the most ridiculous stories have pictures of celebrities in their most fashionable everday selves.

Today however, I am proud to name a first of few ladies that inspire my fashion sense, Ms. Kim Kardashian.

From her rise to fame with her scandalous tape, to her reality show and her retail stores 'DASH' in Calabasas and Miami, she is one fashion pro!  In every pic she's in, whether it's news about her breakup with her bf Reggie Bush or the paparazzi snapping pics of her entering her Miami store 'DASH' she's always looked her best and nothing less.  Great job, Kim!  I luv luv lulv her fashion style, but Kim Kardashian is one truly unique lady.

I am proud to be inspired by not only her keen sense of fashion but also just by being proud of herself and who she is.  Instead of dyeing her hair in all sorts of crazy blonde and brown colours (except for the one momentary lapse when she dyed it blonde..what were you thinking!?), instad opting to stay true to her natural hair, black.  I too, have dyed my hair lots of different colours, but in the end au naturel has always been the way to go.  I also admire her for the fact that she refuses to be a skinny waif in the midst of all the supermodels on the cover of magazines.  As she has mentioned in one interview, that she likes to eat and just wants to get toned.  Me too!  She inspires women to be proud and happy for their curves and that stick thin is just not healthy.

I always consider myself a blank canvas for fashion, I like soaking up new inspiration for my own road to discovery of my fashion sense.  I am always a work in progress =)  Kim Kardashian is just another muse to add to my fashion inspirations!
