Hello springtime and resort collections!

Okay okay, it's not quite spring yet lol...It is however, the end of January.  We have made it a month in 2012! *high five!*

Anyways, so I've been checking out the new arrivals at BCBG website hoping to find this dress that I saw on boxing day at the mall--and voila! found it!

Omg, I love love love this dress! Super gorg! I love the electric blue hue...it's just lively and beautiful.  I love the sexy cut too!

No OOTDs lately?

whatever happened to those OOTDs that used to be posted here, you ask!?

Well, there's a simple explanation for that....since the freezing and near zero temps lately, it's been hard to want to take pics of what I wear to keep warm.  I mean some have been cute and picture-worthy, but for now, i've chosen to opt out of posting any...that, and it's just been so busy lately! lol.

It's easier to take pics of inanimate objects, like things for my hauls! lol.

Once I find a smidgeon of time, I'll start posting OOTDs once again!

I love a good shopping jaunt anytime, more so when I have errands to run and check off my list.  Recently my trusty, ol' hair dryer from years ago breathed its last hot air.  It stopped mid-drying and it not only shocked me that it just died in the morning while I hurriedly (is that a word!?) dried my hair before work, but frustrated me because I wasn't planning on a broken dryer to  have to replace.

Alas, sh!t happens, and I managed to get to the mall a day after.  I had to make do with a non-washed hair for one day which wasn't too bad I guess.

Okay, i'm not usually a person to believe the 'As seen on TV' ads...As much as I get entertained by the Cham-wow commercial, I tend to not always believe what I see on tv.  When I was browsing the pages of instyle, I saw under their best bargain beauty buys section they advertised this Conair Dryer that is supposedly as good as the professional salon hair dryers (or comparable) because of its AC motor.  I'm not all that sure what the heck it means, but I thought I'd give it a try.

I purchased it at Zellers for $39.99 plus tax.  Hefty price to pay for a small hair dryer!

I have been using it for the last couple of days and so far so good.

As much as I have enjoyed freezing, negative temps the last couple of weeks, I think I am very ready to say goodbye to ol' man winter and welcome Spring back into my life!

I found this on the instyle website 'we're obsessed' section.  Gorgeous hue, just in time for spring--match with corals, jade greens and beautiful indigo for night time fun!

When I first saw this I thought, 'what a work of art!' it's like wearing abstract on you feet!

I am a firm believer that shoes are not just shoes...they are a form of artistic creativity on your soles.

A Happy Union

I would like to take a non-fashion related (or maybe it is...) moment to congratulate the happy couple, Mr. and Mrs. McCann.  They celebrated their union filled with love and joy with friends and loved ones last saturday at Heritage Hall.  It was a small affair, starting with the Justice of the Peace ceremony the day before, and then a reception to follow the next day.

There is nothing that brings me more joy and happiness than to see a couple celebrate their love in a true and genuine way--no frills or fancy tricks.  I know for sure their marriage is one that will last.  She is one of few that celebrated a marriage, not just a wedding.

Congratulations Lorraine and Greg!

May your lives be filled with joy, love and happiness....

Weekend Haulage: BEBE

I had a great, relaxing weekend...the friday usual date night was postponed due to the bf's boys' giants game, but I saw him after so that was alright.  He made up for it by spending the whole day and night with me!  We had an early start to the saturday, with him wanting to rush over to NCIX to buy an SD card and a usb stick that was unfortunately out of stock...

We went from richmond to downtown.  It was chilly out since it snowed the night before.  It warmed up abit after a cup of coffee, and i got to pick up a few things I've always wanted to get from BEBE...

baby, it's cold outside...

I was listening to news 1130am the other day on my way to work and heard that we recently reached the freezing point in the weather a couple of days ago and should get abit of snow with the next day or so...I'm not quite sure how I feel about that--on the one hand, I would love to see a bit of snow before winter ends, but on the other, it would make getting around slightly hard with all the dirty snow afterwards...

I went out tonight for dessert with my bf and decided to bundle up since it's fairly cold out tonight...

I had a bit of time the other day before heading to the mall so I decided to divert from the norm and fix my hair...

I normally have it down and parted the same (boring) way lol but decided to pouff it up at the front and tease all the way around for effect!

In the Nude

Okay, so no one is in the nude lol but got your attention didn't it?

I recently bought another pair of shoes to add to the collection...Surprisingly, I found space for it in my shoe shelf!  As you may notice there's a standing theme in my shoe collection, black and white, solid black, solid white, textured black or cream and white.  Then there's my one red pair of shoes lol.  I don't normally venture into the crazy side when it comes to shoes.

I came across a pair of nude colored heels and I just couldn't resist!

It's not the usual expensive pair of shoes I purchase, these were bought of all places--at Payless.  I'm not going to knock the less pricey shoe stores as they can sometimes have good finds! Anyways, I tried these on and fell inlove!

I love resort collections, they always make an otherwise gloomy season look so much brighter and more beautiful with the abundance of color and flowy style fit for fun in the sun!

Guess by Marciano isn't any different--using lovely bright blue and red tones and bright sunny yellows even their nautical stripes, it's enough to make me want to go for a week in Miami or Hawaii just to wear it!

The post-yuletide blues.

Okay, so the holidays are over and the merriment has stopped.  People seem to once again be as grumpy as they were before the official 'holiday season' started...It happens every year after the holidays...

..the Post-Christmas blues.

For those that turn to a Grinch during the holiday season, it's not much of an adjustment really, same grumpy selves just going about their days...For those of us that love the yuletide season and all that it brings, it's hard to just go back to the status-quo right away lol.

The day or two leading upto New Year's Day my mom had dragged me to the mall to run errands for an upcoming trip, and I noticed that there were just as many people at the mall as there were right around the days leading up to Christmas eve...hmm.. Don't people ever run out of money? lol.
How would one deal with post-christmas blues?

Happy New Year! lol.  two days late, but better late than never I suppose...

I trust everyone's new year was just as memorable as mine.  This year my bf and I opted for a celebration at a posh hotel and so I had to fit a family dinner before I had to go to the party.  It all worked well as we were able to fit both and had a ball!

Of course, having two events I came prepared with two outfits! lol.

Festival of Lights 2011

It's nice to have a day off and be able to enjoy the city for once.  The next night after the train ride, we went to Van Dusen Botanical Gardens for their annual Festival of Lights then dinner at Old spaghetti factory!
