OOTD: Neutrals and Creams

 

It was a slightly cloudy but not a bad morning so I decided to wear my spring-ish neutrals and creams.  I love ivory hues, they just look so clean and crisp!

Colorblock Jumpsuit: loves it!

Awhile back I saw a pic of Olivia Wilde in a magazine--Loulou i think, wearing this ultra-gorg colorblock jumpsuit from Gucci.  I instantly fell inlove.  It's a splash of color you don't always expect to see together, courtesy of Gucci's Spring 2011 RTW collection. 

 I love the pops of color that just brightens the collection, from gorgeous emerald greens, to bright orange and electric blue just combined to make a bold statement.

I have to admit, part of my interest stems from the general obsession over jumpsuits and rompers--they serve both function and style all at once and defeats the purpose of that ever-lingering dilemma of what top with what bottom?

Unfortunately I am not able to scrounge enough coin to grab the jumpsuit from Gucci...but I did find a cute alternative...

Happy Valentine's Day all!

I believe that you can look at today like you would Thanksgiving--Everyday we go about our lives and sometimes forget to thank people much like forgetting to appreciate people.  Today is like that--we take advantage of our partners, our beloved family and friends at times and forget to show we care.  Today is a day to remember that we have to appreciate those that are most important and we should cherish the fact that they are in our lives.

I used to think that showing love just one day in a year was stupid cause it's like you have to have a day in a year to remember that you love someone!?


Then I thought of it this way...

Life is good, but there's ups and downs.  There will be times when you can let someone down and vice versa.  There are times that anger will get the best of you and you take it out on those you love the most.  There are times that you may even take advantage of those same loved ones by accident.  For all those times and any time in between that those you care about deserve to be loved--today is that day to step back, take a breath, and cherish them.  It's upto you how you show it--you can hallmark it out, or be simple and sincere. 

It's all up to you...

The forecast called for spring-like temps and a guaranteed sunny day so I thought I'd bring my spring clothes out of hiatus and wear it just for today...Afterall, the rain was forecasted to come back the next day, so it's the perfect  opportunity today!

I was going to wear heels, but ended up just wearing my flats to be more comfortable.

Make-up: the vampy, vixen look

I am a big fan of Megan Fox, not so much her movies but her look--it's just so sexy without being overly in-your-face type of sexy.  She exudes the confidence of someone that knows their own sexual power and she exploits it in such a way that works so well for her.  I recently saw her armani ad and just fell inlove!

I loved the red lips look--also perfected by Dita Von Teese, another beauty idol of mine.

OOTD: Wedding reception

I recently spoke of the wedding reception I went to for my bf's highschool friend.  It was a beautiful reception, simple and sweet--just all about celebration of love and commitment.  I had fun at the wedding, but didn't get to take one pic of my whole outfit! lol.  Well I thought, why not wear what i wore and show you all what I wore!

Happy Friday in living color!

It was such a gorgeous sunny friday!  For casual friday, I decided to wear my colored jeans in a beautiful vibrant blue hue.  I gotta say, it beats the normal blue jean blues...

So I finally found a Maxi dress (cheap alternative to the BCBG that I really want) I like.

So for those that wear maxi dresses, I have a question for you:

Do you hem your maxi dress to flats or heels?

Since i'm quite short, I don't have the luxury of finding maxi dresses that I can wear without having to get the length hemmed.  I just can't decide if I want to hem it to heels for a day to night look, or keep it casual and hem to flats?

opinions, please!

Hump Day OOTD: stripes!

Today was quite unusual, I had a day off and therefore had some extra time in my day to run my errands.  It was a nice day and so I decided to wear a tunic out. I love wearing tunics, so easy to wear and so comfortable!
