Casual Shopping Day: Nautical Blue stripe and jeans

Beinga 9-5 working gal, I rarely ever get to head out on weekdays anymore.  Gone are the days of mis-spent youth meeting up with friends after work as my favorite thing to do nowadays is couch-potatoing at times with the bf and catching up on PVR'd shows from nights prior.  Getting older, it slows you down abit lol.

Saturdays are my usual days of heading out --shopping and galavanting all around downtown either by myself or with my cousin.

To find out more on what I wore...

NYC: Departure outfit:: Utility Jacket and Boots

Departure day...or night.

We officially crossed the border at around 11pm, at which time we had several hours to kill before our flight. To me it seemed ideal seeing as how our previous trip to NYC went off to a shaky start with a red-eye flight leaving us super tired...

I decided long ago to dress comfy for this flight --i initially decided and wore my aritzia fair aisle lambswool sweater, but a few hours in while at the airport, it proved slightly warmer than anticipated.  Luckily, I had my jacket to switch to in case the occasion called for it....

to check out what I finally wore to our departure to NYC..check it out!

Harem Pants at work

Exhausting day at work...I feel like whenever I get a chance to catch up, things pile back up again --neverending cycle i suppose...I decided to be somewhat comfy at work today even though I still wore heels, I guess it was a trade-off.  I wore my new harem pants purchased while I was on vacation in NYC...

Sunday Errands: coral romper in a heatwave

Happy Sunday!  I hope everyone's had as good a weekend as I have.  Today was an errand day for me as I had to once again pick up stuff for my trip to NYC in a week! *yay!* I am so excited but I know I still have lots to do before my trip...

I decided to wear something super comfy to run around and do my errands.  I love rompers, they are so comfy and stylish...It's my answer to a lazy-dressing day --I don't have to worry about top and bottom..Just throw it on and off you go!

random photo ops at home!

I was just going through old pics at home (procrastinating on some tasks that I needed to do lol) and I came across some old pics of myself...I thought I'd post these, I curled my hair and braided the front, my fave hairstyle to do awhile back..

and no, I wasn't giving my LV bag an air-kiss! haha..

Santa Baby....Can I have an LV?

Okay, so I was a little naughty this year... I am still hoping that Santa would be kind and at least humor me about my wishlist haha..

I absolutely LOVE my LV speedy bag.  It's not the most expensive nor the most stylish, but it gets me around and carries all that I need to get through the day.  I am appreciative =)

So with that said, here are others that I would wish for santa to put under my tree lol (or what I may get someday)
Galleria PM - from LV website
Berkeley - from LV website
SC Bag Monogram - from LV website (sophia coppola collection)
Eva Clutch - from LV website

I am inlove with the craftsmanship of Louis Vuitton.  I admire quality work that withstands time.  I carry my speedy with pride--not because of the brand name--because it is made well and I know that someone's hard work went into manufacturing the bag.  I love bags, and excluding big investments like a house or car (which are duh--obviously great investments) I think that investing in a good quality bag that pays per use is just maah-velous!

Merry Christmas Eve!

Food For Thought#3: 'Real or Fake'?

I was at the mall yesterday with the familia, as with most of my sundays and ventured off on my own to browse and maybe run a few errands.  I walked into Off the Wall on a whim, thinking maybe I'll find some nice basics (as I usually do there) to buy for my up-coming trip to Vegas, or at least get ideas on what to bring from my own closet.

A salesperson approached me--a guy, and while this isn't really relevant in most stories, because of what he asked me as a starter conversation it does become relevant.  He says hello, like any polite salesperson does, and of course I aknowledge with a smile and nod then walk on.  He continues to try his chit-chat skills on me by proceeding to ask how my day has been so far, to which I respond with the obligatory 'fine'  standard answer and smile--and continue on walking.

Then he asked that oh-so-sensitive thing that most women (albiet I wasn't offended) would have men dare not ask....'Is your bag real?"  In my head I think, WTF? Did this guy just asked me if my Louis Vuitton Bag is real!?  That's like asking a woman what her true age is! lol.

While I took it in good stride and responded 'Yes..' he continued to dig himself an even bigger hole with '..oh well it's hard to tell most days with girls you know, but you're bag looks nice though!'

uhh...ok buddy.

The point to this story isn't that I got offended.  Because I wasn't--maybe because my bag is real lol.  Guys should be aware that this is one of those hot-button issues that some women may find offensive to be asked--and vice versa.  I'm really generalizing because while I don't find it offensive, there are those that may not feel the same way I do.  I know some women who turn all squinty-frow when people insinuate that their boobs may not be all real or that their hair colour is a dye-job.  It's basically like asking women what their real age is (as i previously mentioned) or if their boobs are real.

Some things should just stay off the dinner table conversation.

I am lovin' multiples!

beats:: hm..nothing really...drawin a blank =\
outfit of the day:: ugh, it's one of those days..don't even ask!
fave fashion accessory of the day/moment:: my bed!!! lol.

Happy Monday darlings!!~*

It's gloomy, but one must always try to bottle up some sunshine to keep one company during days such as these!

So lately I've been on a quest to find the perfect multi-purpose bag.  Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore my LV bag because of it's multi-purposeness in my life! I just thought that because it's such a fave bag of mine, that I'd lessen the wear and tear of time, and use it abit less for the more worthy occasions =) at least until I get another LV...or Chanel!

I have yet to find the perfect bag that can take me from travelling on vacays, to just running errands around town.  Yes, i am a picky girl when it comes to bags...I love the multi-faceted use of a well-made, aesthetically pleasing bag.  So you can imagine how picky I will be about this everyday bag!

So on to my latest purchase! lol.

The Trokey Bag from Aldo.  It was $29.98 (CDN) on sale too! great deal.

Okay, so normally I don't just buy bags on a whim...Actually to be fair, I didn't buy this on a whim either.  You can ask my cousin, but we almost ran out of minutes for the parking meter cause I couldn't decide!!! lol.

I find that it works for my needs at the moment.  I say that because my mood about bags change as much as I change outfits in a day.  I have different needs according to the day, and for the last day, it's suited my needs.  I find that it feels abit too big for leisurely shopping, but works perfectly as a work bag, overnight bag and even for running errands where you'll need your hands free for some of the time!

I haven't quite taken it to the skies yet, but hopefully pretty soon it will get its chance....I do like to travel in style, and it's beautiful brown (synthetic, yes i know ladies, synthetic) leather skin is a classy, timeless bag that doesn't go out with the seasons.

Recently, though my eye has always gravitated to the pricier, well crafted bags (i find they are sort of an investment) I have been buying the less expensive, more practical versions, in order to get more quantity than quality.  It's only recently that I've interchanged bags for every outing i've had.

I guess sometimes quantity with a bit of quality isn't so bad ; )

I heart bags...spring edition!~*

beats:: dead and gone - TI ft Justin Timberlake
outfit of the day:: White Pinstriped dress shirt, AE Indigo Skinny Jeans, Banana Republic Camel Wool Blazer and black payless flats =)
fave fashion accessory of the day/moment:: small purses &l <3 'em!

Spring has sprung...beatiful blooms are upon us!!

Okay, so my song choice for today isn't quite matching with the mood...but I was just watching TI's Behind the Music thing...He's still muy caliente in my book!~*

...with a new season comes my new luv for the season, smaller purses/clutches! I simply adore 'em! *luv luv*

Okay, so my new found mini-obsession has lead me to one store in particular lately...ALDO..oh my they have a wide array of beautiful clutches and smaller purses that are oh-so-irresistable!  To be honest, I have this ongoing love affair with bags...They are just a bad weakness of mine lol...It's that or shoes...

*I just can't resist!*

Currently, my two new purchases to date are a far stretch from my usual big bags, but I've noticed that there are a few times when big bags aren't the most useful.  I'm a gal that didn't used to like purses at clubs, in fact, I'd hate to bring bags so much that I used to just use this wristlet (literally velcro'd to my wrist lol) filled with money and my cards.  Handy, but didn't fit much else.  Lately I've wanted to be able to bring a purse inside filled with at least a little cardholder and some makeup to touch up with whenever I turned abit shiny from all the dancing lol.

So here are my two purse purchases....

I had bought this first one in Seattle at Southcenter Mall.  I needed a purse to bring to the club or lounge that was abit bigger than my BEBE little clutch since it seemed abit too small for me to be able to carry both my phone and camera at the same time.

ALDO handbag spring '10 collection - $30.00 (USD)
I love the soft, camel colour leather.  It's so spring!
The gold metal hardware is sooo cute..Luvs it!
The hardware was ver nicely detailed! Gave it a classy look.
The inside of the bag was very nice, nothing special but nice matching brown fabric.

This second one was bought tonight! <3's it too! I decided to buy a bigger purse instead of the usual small clutch I use for Happy Hour. I thought it was a cute size to bring about town when I wasn't upto to my usual fave the LV top-handle. Don't get me wrong, it woudn't fit all the usuals that would fit inside my usual top-handle purses but this one is cute enough to use for casual dates or for a nice evening out for happy hour =) Again, I opted for the lovely metal hardware details, even a ribbon on the side for an additional touch of femininity and class =) It channels the Chanel-esque beauty without having to rip-off the chicness of Chanel! (translation: it doesn't look like a fake Chanel! lol) I think of it more as inspired by the look of the Chanel quilted shoulder bag (which I hope to one day have!!)
I love love love the light pale grey shade of the handbag...so spring!
It has the cutest details, so feminine, with the ribbon on the side!
The inside is simple, like my previous bag, but lots of side pockets and a zippered one! (its always a must!)
It has the cute metal lock detail as well! =) This one is in silver this time.
the metal chain hardware is so Chanel-inspired...so classic! <3s it much!

So those are my two new purchases in awhile in the bag area...

I admit, they're not my usual bags, but they are more of a grown-up classy type of bag that encourages me not to try packing my whole room into my purse! lol...They do a good job pulling a double duty of classy evening bag and casual out on the town bag...I think it works!

Did I mention that both just happen to be part of the Spring trends? lol I didn't even set out to try and get into the trends...It kind of just happened!

lol i went to the mall for a movie, then ended up with a handbag as well! that was one expensive movie date!
