NYC: Departure outfit:: Utility Jacket and Boots

Departure day...or night.

We officially crossed the border at around 11pm, at which time we had several hours to kill before our flight. To me it seemed ideal seeing as how our previous trip to NYC went off to a shaky start with a red-eye flight leaving us super tired...

I decided long ago to dress comfy for this flight --i initially decided and wore my aritzia fair aisle lambswool sweater, but a few hours in while at the airport, it proved slightly warmer than anticipated.  Luckily, I had my jacket to switch to in case the occasion called for it....

to check out what I finally wore to our departure to NYC..check it out!

Top: Garage Clothing racerback tanktop

Jacket: Aritzia shrunken trooper jacket

Sweater: Aritzia Fair Aisle Zip-up cardi (not shown)

Jeans: AE skinny cropped indigo jeans

Shoes: Le Chateau over-the-knee boots

Bags: Handcarry: Danier Leather weekend duffle bag & handbag LV speedy 30 in monogram(both not shown)

The best way to jet-set in both style and comfort is to know what works best for you both when going through the uncomfortable spots like customs (where you are required to take off your jacket and shoes!) and through the rough patches of trying to sleep on the plane (where the temp can spike up rapidly while above 10,000 feet!).

It's easy to say that style over-rules comfort but there has to be a balance...especially on a long-haul flight!
