Elnett hairspray. Yay or Nay?

I recently bought the L'oreal Elnett Hairspray and thought I'd try it since I've been hearing rave reviews about the fact that its almost comparable to the salon hairsprays.

I curled my hair, volumized it using the hairspray and the finished product....

voila!

Halloween 2011

Hello lovelies..
So monday is our Team Building and Luncheon 'Halloween Edition' at work; and as such, we (or the powers that be) have decided to do a costume luncheon and at the end, choose the best costume for a prize.  I have been wracking my brain over what to wear since I've never really been big on Halloween before.  I've never been big on it, I usually just skip to the holidays.

Since this is a work function however, I've sort of been forced to participate for the spirit of it...and i am glad to oblige.  I promised myself however that I wasn't going to spend alot for my costume this year--and of course nothing raunchy, it would have to be work appropriate anyways due to the fact that it's a work-related lunch...I thought of a few costumes and this is what I've decided....

Movie Inspiration: Maid in Manhattan

I love this movie, but it seemed like it was reaching.  I'm a hopeless romantic so I didn't mind lol.

I loved two of Jennifer Lopez's outfits in this movie...

Sexiest shoe of the year!

Voted the sexiest shoe of the year....yowza!

Top 5 Must-Haves: Fall/Winter 2011

If you've felt the cold morning chill as much as I have in the last few weeks, you may agree that Fall is definitely in full swing nowadays.  Much like last year, it's been said that we are due to experience a colder than usual winter this year--I for one am not excited.

I love living in a city that gets to change the seasons, it gives life variety and certainly makes going through the year alot more interesting.  I can't imagine Christmas without snow now...

What get's me through the cold patch of the year is prepping for the weather ahead.

My top 5 Must-haves for this year...

Blushing duo

A fan of Nars?

Do you love Nars Blush in Orgasm as much as I do?

if so....

You will love this!

MAC: Hyperviolet paint pot

Those that know me well know that I love the purple hues when it comes to eyeshadows.  I wear alot of purple smokey eye variations for nights out because it compliments the brown eyes.

Imagine my suprise when MAC released their collection of Posh Paradise, and hello! Hyperviolet Paint pot is one of them!

Posh Paradise Collection - Paint Pot in Hyperviolet
It is mos def on the shopping list! I checked online and just my luck, it's sold out.

Rawr! seeing spots

Last december during boxing day, I saw this cute leopard sweater that I was so itching to get.  Unfortunately it was abit out of my price range being at around $100 after markdown.  I opted out of buying it and hoped one day I'd find a substitute....It's taken me almost one year but eureka! I found it!

I can never stand to be without....

This little miracle in a bottle is like a substitute for my evian mineral spray.  When without, this is my other lifesaver...

Why is that so?

MAC: early holiday shopping!

Have you ordered yet?

This year I decided to get a head start on some of my holiday must-haves...

Fall must have: tweed!

Okay, I'm not so much talking about Gene Simmons' wife, Shannon...(congratulations by the way).  I'm more talking about one of my many obsessions right now.  I love tweed.  I love that you can pair it with jeans as much as you can with dress pants and even so much as to use as a topper for a nice dress.

It's one of those all-around type jackets that work for almost any occasion!

From Chanel's Fall 2011 Ready to Wear line,  tweed is a staple among his many fabric choices.

If you're wallet doesn't hold as much coin, here are some less pricey alternatives...

What are you dressing up as!?

It's that time again....no, not christmas, at least not yet.

It's halloween!

Candy apples, fright night train rides, and costumes! =) I'm admittedly not too big on the whole celebrating it...I'd much rather skip to the holiday season.  Alas, it's just as much of a big kid thing as it is a little kid's.

I was thinking of dressing up as a nurse this year for my work halloween lunch thing.  I prefer to stick to occupational costumes--less hassle to dress up as, and chances are you can incorporate your normal office clothes into the costume itself.

Then the other day my co-worker and i went to Spirit Halloween near Metrotown and omg, they have the funkiest of costumes! (does anyone use the word funky anymore?!?lol)

I narrowed down my choices into three...which coincidentally was similar to my co-worker's choices!

check out my choices!

Random Mini Haulage!

I went to the mall after dinner tonight, and well....temptation got the better of me! lol

I did a 'mini' haul of accessories today since I find that ever since my closet looks like it's about to burst, i feel like I must reduce the amount of article of clothing before committing to more purchases lol.

Operation Re-organization: a new shoe 'rack'

Since moving into the new place, my life has been revolving around organizing my room and trying to make it as space efficient as humanly possible.  A big part of that organization is finding a nice home for all my wayward shoes...In doing so, I may have also inadvertently tapped into a shoe addiction problem I never realized before now lol.

This is my bf securing my new 'shoe rack'.

Operation Organization: the vanity

It's been a build-up of sorts, my cleaning my room.  I've been living in my new place for about two or three weeks now (its such a blur, much like the moving was lol).  I decided when I first moved in that I'd tackle my Operation Organization in a more manageable way for someone that works 9-5.

This is a neat jewelry organizer that I found while strolling at Home Sense.  I've been wandering the aisles of Home Sense for specific items that will help organize my room...and life!

Megan Fox: her sizzling new Armani Ad

is it just me, or did it suddenly get very hot in here...?

lol...As always, the lovely Megan Fox heats up their Armani Holiday ads.

love.

Christmas 2011: 10 weeks away...are you ready for it?

Okay, so it doesn't seem like it's that close, but the holidays are approaching fast...I always seem to block out Halloween and Thanksgiving but after the last stat day, Remembrance Day--it will be full steam ahead for the holidays.

I noticed that my two fave retail stores have aleady set out their pre-holiday glitter and glam wear.  I thought I'd showcase a few pieces.

Cold Weather must-have: Uggs!

Say what you will about them guys...I still love wearing 'em!

I loved my last pair of imitation uggs from aldo lol.  I wore it for 6 years or so and it served me well during my moments of frumpy errand-filled days....When we moved I knew that my Aldo boots days were numbered and I bought an actual pair of uggs the first opportunity I got!

Thanksgiving Border run!

Hello lovelies!

Hope that everyone had a great thanksgiving!  There is no one moment that you shouldn't be thankful for the blessings you've had, but Thanksgiving Day usually gives you an opportunity to put everything into perspective and take a moment to thank your lucky stars for the blessings that has been brought unto you!

With that said, I spent my thanksgiving weekend across the border...In Washington state! so technically, I celebrated thanksgiving/columbus day =)  It was a fun weekend and I wish to be able to get away again soon with the bf!

Night #1:

We went to Joey's for a very late dinner (we finished at a half hour after midnight! lol) and then walked back to the hotel.  It was a good end to a long day...

Royally chic in nude: kate middleton at Zara Phillip's royal wedding.

I love weddings--the good company and food and one gets to doll up for the occasion!

I loved the fascinator--well basically the whole outfit that Kate Middleton , Duchess of Cambridge wore at The Queen's grand-daughter, Zara Phillips' wedding.

Spotted: birthday girl at Ebisu!

Outfit:
BEBE lace rouched top || Forever 21 Black ruffle miniskirt || BEBE black lucie lasercut open-toe sandals || Forever 21 necklace || Juicy gold bracelet || BCBG flower ring

I decided to go abit on the more feminine side for my cousin's birthday at Ebisu sunday night for her birthday dinner.  Not the usual tight-fitting clothes, I went for an A-line mini instead of my usual bandage skirts.  Went with gold (and black) for my jewelry to add pop to just black lace and ruffles.
