Harem Pants at work

Exhausting day at work...I feel like whenever I get a chance to catch up, things pile back up again --neverending cycle i suppose...I decided to be somewhat comfy at work today even though I still wore heels, I guess it was a trade-off.  I wore my new harem pants purchased while I was on vacation in NYC...

Go Yankees! lol

While in New York recently, I was lucky enough to visit a baseball game between NY Yankees and KC Royals...People take their baseball there seriously! lol.  I was able to purchase some swag after the game --but just hats at the team store.  This tanktop was actually from Victoria's Secret! love this tank..so cute!  I went to their site recently and found that they've got cute fan gear for every team! awesome for the ladies that want to support their team and look cute doing it!

Travel Series: TSA Compliance for toiletries

2008 was a good year for me, I traveled far and wide and got a lot of stampage on my passport (I even ended up keeping it for a souvenir!) and learned alot of lessons in travelling with comfort and style.

Sunday Errands: coral romper in a heatwave

Happy Sunday!  I hope everyone's had as good a weekend as I have.  Today was an errand day for me as I had to once again pick up stuff for my trip to NYC in a week! *yay!* I am so excited but I know I still have lots to do before my trip...

I decided to wear something super comfy to run around and do my errands.  I love rompers, they are so comfy and stylish...It's my answer to a lazy-dressing day --I don't have to worry about top and bottom..Just throw it on and off you go!

Travel Series: Perfume to go!

I love my mini bottles and cases that I get to take with me while on travel.  I hate having to leave something behind because it may get too heavy for my luggage...This is why the Travalo mini perfume bottle is good for me!

It's not so much like the other perfume travel containers for perfumes where you have to pour it in and gets messy.  This is quick, clean and painless!  Just attach to the pump on the perfume and it fills up in seconds!

I love it so much right now that I'm thinking of purchasing two more for other perfumes that I want to take with me in my travels!

This is definitely going with me to NYC!

The King? one woman renaissance

If you've ever followed the NYC scene, you may know the one woman renaissance often coined  "downtown's sweetheart"..Vashtie Kola!

I happened upon her while surfing the net for another music crush, Q-tip lol.  Yes, yes, I know...wow, so unlike me! Every once in awhile I do stray from the commercialness of music and the world of art inspiration and go indie for some instant boost of creativity.

She's this all-around creative woman that's been a designer (for violette?), director, artist, promoter, entrepreneur just to name a few... I admire strong, independent women that do the daily grind of working, on something they love and for what they believe in.  No b***sh*t.

Anyone that can lay claim to being the first woman to redesign the Classic Air Jordans is the tops in my book...damn i want these lol.

Color-blocking and fishtails

It has been good the last couple of days weather-wise so I decided to dress it up abit... The color-blocking kind of just came together at last minute there, since I thought my normal black and white motif may need abit of spicing up! on what i wore...

It's been a busy couple of weeks and so my posts have been few and far between.  It's exhausting preparing for a major trip with a page-full of items on my checklist for both work and for the trip...hopefully I'll get some blogging in once again.....soon!

Birthday Lunch and Bandage Dress

The second to last day to a very long, stress-filled week.  We realized the two days before that a co-worker had a birthday a bit too late and had to quickly scramble up a quickie celebration...

It was a rainy day but i still decided to wear a bandage dress that I had long stored in my closet after confidently losing a few pounds.  It's one of my faves definitely, intricate front design and gives a great shape!
