That extra half an inch: insider's guide to fashion a la Victoria Beckham

Ever read that book by that spice girl who had a clothing line? lol.

I can only imagine what people think when they first come across a book written by Mrs. Beckham.

It certainly makes for an interesting thought--what she could possibly write about that would get the public clamoring for her book?



I've read it, and I think it's brilliant.  It sticks to that old saying of 'write what you know..' and she certainly did.  Scoff if you must, but at the end of the day when pictured running errands all around LA or doing the Red Carpet rounds, she is almost always spot-on with her fashion choices.

No one wants to be called out on their fashion faux-pas--even I don't!  Even though the general public won't face their bad/good fashion choices on the celebrity best or worst dressed lists, I would like to think that we all still want to generally aim for the best-dressed rather than worst.  One thing that Victoria Beckham doesnt do is she doesn't preach one thing and practice another; her book isn't even about what you should wear.  Her book is more about sharing the knowledge she's gathered over the years from her spice girls years all the way to her full-proof style today.  Victoria Beckham even gives suggestions on where to find good pieces.  Doesn't that eliminate the need for wasting time going into every store!?

Love her or hate her, she's got style...and she's nice enough to share it with the rest of us mere mortals. =)
