The Sonic Treatment. Yay or Nay?

There are days that I must admit, sleep is more of a luxury than a necessity.  My schedule goes into over-drive, and thus, so does my anxiety and hormones.  There are days when my hormones are so out of whack that I break out in an instant the moment anything--and I mean anything touches my face.

Houston err--i mean Vancouer, we have a problem...

My skin has improved tremendously since my adolescent years--thank god! and I am determined to keep it that way! I am adamant that my skin care routine not only keep my face clear but also be a preventative measure against any blemishes or imperfections.  I am also determined however, to keep my skin care routine simple as I am not a girl that likes to fuss about these things.  One thing I hate to do is buy endless amount of creams and serums for hundreds of dollars and take most of the night to get my face ready for bed!

I've been recently hearing about the Clarisonic Facial skin care system.  It's the same company that made the sonic care toothbrush.  There are so many products and tools out in the market that claim to do wonderous things for your skin and improve it for small price...

I must admit, I'm skeptical of most things but have been known to be duped into trying once in awhile.

It's been highly regarded by You Tube gurus and regular folks alike--a sonic frequency that cleans away the dirt and oil and any impurities in your skin.  (Think electric toothbrush, but for the face! lol).  Of course with the heavy guarantees of fresh, clean skin comes the hefty price tag.  The skin care system line for Clarisonic ranges from $150-$300 depending (see sephora website for more info and pricing).

It's something I've thought of for awhile now...I'm always aiming to improve my facial cleansing routine.  Anything that makes my routine easier at night, works for me!  The only other hitch I can see is that the brushes that come with the cleansing 'wand' have to be replaced every month or so (as with the electric brushes and the brush head).  At $30 per refill, it's hardly a small thing...

Then again, how much is a clean and clear skin worth to you?

  1. We are excited to hear that you are considering a Clarisonic. We actually recommend that you cleanse your brush head once every week but they only need to be replaced between three and four months depending on how often you use the brush. We also offer a Sonic Savings program that allows you to purchase the brush heads and have them delivered to your doorstep at regular intervals. When you order this way you can save an extra 20%. Hope that helps. If you need any other information find us on Twitter @Clarisonic or via email info@clarisonic.com. We'd love to answer additional questions. Cheers!
